I'm Back! And this is a very long post! Sorry!

Wow!, I can't believe it has been this long since I have written in this blog, a lot has happened in this time.  I started working at Professional Dental in Saratoga Springs as the office manager, this was a good job, but this company has 10 office and still growing, but very disorganized, I think that a lot of the other office managers realized it a and told the owners to slow down and concentrate on the ones that are struggling. I had some training but not adequately to help me, the other office managers took turns to help me get to a point to where I could manage, they were only a phone call away if I needed any help, I so appreciate those ladies that helped me, taking the time to help one their peers.  The only thing that was hard is that I was not getting many hours even working at both the Saratoga Springs office 2 days and one day at the Alpine office, I really think that they were trying to limit my hours, I always had to ask if I could work, which was strange since both offices were in dyer need of cleaning up and catching things up, it was very hard to go to work and enjoy it.
June came and things were going good, Scott was enjoying SAR (search and rescue) he had joined them in January and has really loved helping people in need.  On June 12 Scott was laid off from his job of 4 years with Sisle/ Supranaturual, we knew that this was going to happen, in fact Scott has been looking for a job the past 2 years, but not finding anything, and also not really having the time to look like he would want, so now it was time to dive in and search for a job, we decided that he would look in both Utah and Arizona, knowing that eventually we wanted to be in Arizona, well July came and nothing, I was looking at jobs in Arizona and noticed that the dental jobs in Arizona offered full benefits, so we both decided that I should start putting my résumé out there, I didn't think much of it, one day my phone had a message on it from Antoinette Billick an office manager from Mesa Arizona a company called Interdent a big Corporate out of California that has office in California, Arizona, and other states even Hawaii. She wanted to interview me, Scott and I went to Arizona on Tuesday and went to my interview on Wednesday.  I felt really good about it, I really connected with her, I went out of there feeling really good about it. We stayed through the weekend, came home and had not heard anything from Antoinette, I asked Scott what should I do if she calls and offers me the job? He said that I should take it since he hasn't heard from anyone.  The next day I went to work, it was crazy, I was the only one there and we were really busy, Scott called me and said that he has an interview, I said to him that I couldn't talk and that I would call him later, we hung up and I continued   to work, I had put my phone on silence but had it close to me to see who was calling, I noticed a number come up on my phone with an Arizona area code on it ( and it wasn't Jennifer) so I answered it and it was Antoinette she apologized that she didn't call me sooner, she did offer me the job and I accepted it.  I was really excited to know that we were going to Arizona , to possibly live, we would stay with Jennifer and continue to watch for jobs for Scott.  I called Scott but didn't get an answer which I thought was weird, so I left him a message telling him that I accepted the job.  And then I continued by texting the girls to let them know of what had happened.  I finally got hold of Scott and he was some what laughing, he said that when I called him, he was in his interview, I didn't realize that when he was calling me bout the interview, he meant that it was that day, so now what do we do? Well, we continued with our plan me going to Arizona without Scott and start my job, I felt that I couldn't back down, since I had committed myself. Well as it turns out the dental system that they use was way different from what I was used to, and  I didn't think that it was going to work, I continued to try and learn it, but it was harder than I thought, I continued to ask questions and put my best into it. The systems that they use is QSI and CPS not very user friendly going back and forth from each system, but to change now with a different system would cost them a lot since they have so many offices. Well like I said it turned out that they decided that it wasn't working out for either one of us, so they laid me off on September 27, I had started on August 6 so a little over a month and a half, little did they know that I was planning on quitting on Tuesday the next week.  I had been looking at jobs again in Utah and had an interview with Dr. Pitts in American Fork on that Monday.  The interview went well, but haven't heard anything from it yet, I feel like everything is starting all over again, and now Scott has a meeting on Monday, October 8 with the owners, and we are somewhat nervous about it, wondering if he is going to be laid off.  So I am not leaving Arizona until Tuesday just in case he is laid off and if he is he will just come down and join me, from there I don't know what is going to happen.  We have turned everything over to the Lord  and hopefully we get some type of answer,  we just need to be patient.

This past week I have had a fun time with my granddaughters  Abby, Paige and Maren, we have gone to lunch every day, had their toenails painted, got some embroidery projects for them, coloring things for Maren since she is to little to embroider.  It has been fun doing things with them as Jennifer has had to work.

Last night Abby had to cheer at a pee wee football game, so while Jennifer was at work, and Rich was at the Priesthood session, I took the girls to the football game, which was a late game, it didn't start until 8:00 at night and so it didn't get over with until 10.

For the past little while I have had let the girls sleep in my room with me I call it my sleep over party, the first night was good and then from there I would be kicked out of bed or couldn't sleep, so I decided that only 2 of them can sleep with me, with one right next to me and the other ones with her head down by our feet, and the 3rd person has to sleep on the floor, now that they have all had their turn on the floor it is my turn to sleep by myself again, and maybe I can sleep more soundly. I have enjoyed myself, but it is time that I get back to my sweetie, I dearly miss him and want to be with him!

Our Newest addition

I can't believe that I still don't keep up with this blog. We added a new addition to our family, in the form of a dog, her name is Izzie and she is almost 9 weeks old.  She has been fun to have around other than she  doesn't know her name very well, and doesn't listen (just like kids).  The grandkids love her and where her out, which is funny, they run and chase her and when all is done she ends up going into her kennel pooped out.
Scott and I have been asked by the bishopric to team teach the Marriage relationship class, we and 2 other couples will take turns teaching through out the year. This we will do along with our other callings.  I have been in the Relief Society Presidency for 2 years now, but it seems like I have just started, I really don't know if I have helped any of the sisters or not.  I really enjoy the calling though.

Brad is doing so well out on his mission, he is having baptism's and teaching investigators like crazy.  I am very impressed with him and how he has embraced the gospel.  He has taught me a lot.

Our daughter Lisa has found out that she has thyroid cancer and will be having surgery on March 6 to have it removed.  I will be helping her with the kids.  Scott and Lisa were able to go to St. George this past weekend, so we had the kids, it was very interesting having a little person like Colter around.  He really doesn't like to sleep anywhere but his own bed, this first night was a complete disaster, he ended up getting up at 1 a.m. and didn't want to go back to bed, so I ended up laying in bed with him on my chest, and finally putting by my side, but I couldn't sleep for fear of rolling on him, so as you can guess I was very tired the next day, lucky for me it was a saturday and Scott was home to help with the kids.  It was a cold day so the kids played in side and we took them to lunch, they watched tv with Scott, who likes to watch old show on Netflix such as Gunsmoke, and other old show, which surprisingly the kids don't mind watching them, we then took them to dinner at Pizza Pie Cafe, they really enjoyed it there.  The night seemed to go easier for Colter, we ended up putting a heater in the room, and he did sleep a lot better. Church went fine the kids were really good. Colter went to sunday school with us and then to priesthood with Scott, he started getting tired, so he ended up in the foyer with Scott and then home, for lunch.   Well, all went well Lisa and Scott picked up the kids about 5 and we sat back and enjoyed the rest of the night together.  Here is a picture of Izzie.

Back Home from Amy's

Well that was a goof.  I meant to write that I am back from Amy's and had a great time.  I enjoyed being there with Amy and her family.  Preston has grown up so much getting taller an eating, yes I said eating, something that little boy did little of.  Porter is growing up also, now being 4 weeks old, but giving his mom fits. He doesn't want to sleep much around dinner time and always seems to want to eat right after Amy has nursed him.  Hopefully the doctor will have answers on Wednesday.  I really didn't do much of getting out, Amy and the kids and I went to the new museum called Crystal Springs, which we saw it being built when we were there in May of last year.  Quite amazing. I really was there to help Amy out, which I felt like I didn't do much, but she says that me playing with Preston was a great help, but I don't know.  I would have done that any way.  She is an amazing cook and we enjoyed a lot of good food while I was there.  I hope I can fix some of those meals, that we had, I would just have to scale it down a bit.  I will have to post again when I can down load some pictures of Preston and Porter.  I am glad to be back home with Scott, I truly did miss him. So for now that is my trip unless I can think of other things to say.

Been a long time

Well it has been a long time since I have written, so I thought I would do so since I am at a place that I could do so, at least I thought I could, but I have a 3 1/2 yr. old wanting my attention all the time, which is good also, just not when I am trying to type. I am at my daughter Amy's house in Rogers,Arkansas. She just had a new baby on the 30th of December, his name is Porter, he weighed 8 lbs. 5oz. And is 19 inches long, has lots of hair and is of course cute. Big brother loves him and is always trying to help with him. Amy is doing great, she of course is like all of my girls, very independent and just starts back to everything once they get home from the hospital, it is nice to know that I have great son in laws to take care of my girls, and when they need a break they. The past year I have been trying to get rid of a sinus infection that started last November, I have had two sinus surgeries and I still am having problems, I am so tired of coughing, and feeling tired all the time. The doctors have taken chest X-rays,ct scans and still don't know what is wrong, I am suppose to have allergy resisting done when I get home. Hopefully that will show something. I also had a hysterectomy in August and was layed up for about 6 weeks. I got a job with a dental office and worked a whole not even 2 months.
Scott is and has been looking for work, we would love it if he could either get a job in with wal mart in arkansas like Matt, or get a job in Utah or Arizona. I to have been looking for a job, I had an interview with the bank of American fork and haven't heard back yet, hopefully this week I will hear something. well that is in a nut shell what has been going on since I wrote last, oh yeah Bradley is in Norway on an LDS mission, and is doing great. I will have to keep this up better than I have. Pictures? Well maybe next time!
