So let me think where to begin, ok I last talked about being at Jenn's for a whole month, which was great, we then went back for Thanksgiving and enjoyed our time there. It was unusually cold for that time of the year, but we still enjoyed being with the kids anddoing things with them, like papa and uncle Brad helping Maren how to ride her bike
which was so funny, because you could hear her giggle the whole time.

We also went on our usual hike up to usuary pass, but this time Jenn and Rich's friendsthe Satler's came with us with their 4 very cute kids, who we adore. We even saw a trianchula on some guys arm soI tooka picture of it. Yuck, but interesting.

Jenn got me and Brad to go with her on the black friday shopping which turned out great, But COLD! I ended up getting all of my grand kids Christmas shopping done, but Scott said "did you forget that we didn't bring the truck?" It all fit! We so enjoyed being there with ourcute grand daughters and of course our great son in law and daughter. Thanks so much Jenn and Rich for having us, we always enjoy our time with you. And Jenn knows how much I want to live there.

Next was Christmas and getting the house ready for it. I was really not in the mood to decorate, but Scott convinced me that I would regret it if I didn't, so I helped him bring up the tree and then I asked Lisa to come help me decorate it, which she is always so willing to help me. (what a great kid she is) I then proceeded to decorate the house, which I was glad that I did decorate, there is something about it when you decorate your house with Christmas items. It always amazes me how fast Christmas comes and goes. We had the annual Child Christmas party at Stan and JoAnn's church, where we had the kids participate in the Nativity while my dad read it, then Santa and Mrs. Claus came to visit the kids, boy did they like that.
We talked about how this was Brad's last Christmas with us, since he will be going on his mission this spring/summer.

Next was the new year, well not much to say about that other than it came! Ha Ha, we ended up going to bed before 12 (old farts) As always we go to breakfast on New Years morning, but first this year we ended up having to go over to the church to clean at 9 am and then we went to Jim Family Restaurant for breakfast. YUM!
Last saturday we had our annual Farnsworth winter party up at Mutual Dell, the kids love it there, they sled till their hearts content, we end up pulling them off the hill, because it is dark and they can't see. We even got Grandma Farnsworth to go down the hill on a tube. I have decided that this is going to become a tradition for us, as long as we can do it. Everyone loves it, and it gets cousins together to visit and enjoy each others company, along with Scott's siblings. So if you are reading this it will always be on the menu for the winter. Unless we happen to move, but I don't see that happening. Well that is that for now hope you enjoy the pictures.

Another Month (LONG)

So it has been awhile since I updated my blog, I guess I just can't keep up with the months and all that goes on in my boring little life.

Well lets see the last time I wrote was in August or September and I have tried to stay busy through the last couple of months. September was kind of a blur, I had to get ready to go to Jenn's for October, I helped Megan, Lisa and Amy with their peaches, these are pictures of Preston showing off is motorcycle and tools.
Then I bought some material to take with me to sew, gathered activitie things to do with the kids. Got all of my doctor visits in, shopped for Brad and Scott so they didn't starve to much.
Come October 3 I was off to the warm state of Arizona where I was Jennifer's live in nanny for the month. Jennifer got the opportunity to start a new job at a new hospital that is only 8 miles from her house, so that will make it nice for her instead of the hour long drive to Scottsdale. She started the next day on October 4 where she had to be to work at 8 am.
The following Sunday, Jennifer's old work through a going away party for her and another girl that left to work at the same hospital. It was fun to meet some of the women that Jennifer worked with. We enjoyed food and company that night.
The girls were out of school on their fall break for 2 weeks. I also watched Jenn's daycare kids for her, so the mothers of these kids didn't need to find a new person while Jenn was going through this. I enjoyed being with my grandkids, we did have our times when we butted heads, but I love them even more for their cute little spirits that they are.
Each week was an adventure, we went to the park a couple of times, we had picnics on the back lawn, making carmel apples, cookies, we did a lot of things to make the days go by, besides their other routine things like hip hop, piano lessons and Maren's preschool. Jennifer and Rich's work out on Wednesday evenings.
I enjoyed making dinner for a bigger family than just Scott, Brad and I and sometimes it is just Scott and I. It just isn't the same as it was when I had all of the kids at home, to fix a nice dinner.
I was able to celebrate my birthday while at Jennifer's. Jenn spoiled me by taking me to get a facial and pedicure. It was divine. And then we went to Pei Wei to dinner. Yummy!!
Scott ended up sending me a bouquet of flowers which I loved!
Then on my actual birthday Jennifer and Rich and the kids took me to a mexican restaurant to celebrate the day!
I was even able to see my nephew and his family while there which was great.

Jennifer worked every day and then on friday she would work a half a day until the 22nd where she ended up working until after 6. The following week was her last week (and at first she really wasn't supposed to work it) and the days were long for her. Poor girl she was so exhausted from all of it. She would come home and crash. But the little energizer bunny that lives inside of her didn't crash to hard, she kept going and going and going.
That last week that I was there I was able to go to the girls grandparent day and eat lunch with them. I loved being able to be there for that since they never usually have a grandparent there for it.
Well it was a long month for all of us, Scott was soo ready for me to come home. I left on the 28th and got home about 2 pm. Scott had booked a hotel for a couple of days for us, it was so nice to be in his arms again. In fact at the airport he almost didn't let me go.
We enjoyed the stay, we went to a couple of movies, dinner and a nice walk around the Salt Lake Temple grounds. And attending my nephews open house for his mission to Peru.
Now that I am home I have been put to work on a RS dinner and I am helping with a funeral this weekend, our dear friend Dave Ballard past away while I was gone. Our prayers go out to Diane and the kids.
I have been getting the house picked up and cleaned too. I also found out that Amy and Matt are moving to Arkansas, so we are having everyone come to dinner to say their good byes this Sunday. I hope to take some pictures of them before they leave.
So in a large nutshell that is what has happened in my life the past couple of months.
Here are some pictures of what I took, not to many. Halloween costumes, also Heidi and Casey's kids in their costumes, Preston in his (I was watching him while Amy and Matt were house hunting)
So enjoy!

Colter's Blessing

Well a very busy weekend. I had a Relief Society board meeting in the morning of Saturday, and then came home and got ready for the Bridal Shower that we had for Shayla (Michael Barney's fiance) after that a night of grocery shopping, and then to bed to wake up to a very busy Sunday. Brad and I went to Cameron Mecham's homecoming, what a great testimony builder, he spoke as if he was an apostle, his mission did wonders for him, he has changed and has grown in the gospel so much. I was so touched by his talk. Well after that we attended Colter's blessing. It is always so great to be with family.
The day did not end yet, after the luncheon, we decided to go back to our ward and finish Relief Society and Priesthood meetings. Then we got home and went over to our neighbors house to wish Brad Pew the best of luck on his mission, and to apologize for not being there for his farewell. All of these guys, coming and going on missions. Before you know it, it will be our Brad's turn.
Here are some pics at Colter's luncheon and his family!

West Yellowstone

On Saturday we enjoyed our ward rodeo and then left for West Yellowstone to meet up with Mik and his wife Leslie and daughter Kassie. We arrived around 8:30 pm and boy was it cold, and we had forgotten to pick up our jackets, so we ended up buying some. We met with Mik and Leslie at a quaint little Bistro which was really good eating, the only problem was it was 9:00 at night and we shouldn't eat that late, oh well, it was great. We then went to Mik's hotel room at World Mark, which ended up being like a small little apartment, 3 bedroom, 3 bath, laundry room, dining room full kitchen and family room. The next morning we got up and headed for the park, I forgot how beautiful it was. I haven't been here for a while. We were able to see a lot and the weather was great, a little warmer and no rain. Here are the pictures I took. The slideshow will be of the ward rodeo, and I will put yellowstone in picture form.

The Annual Child Barbecue up at the Stairs Plant in Big Cottonwood Canyon

Monday 23rd of August we went to the stairs plant where we get together with all of my family to have a barbecue. We do this every year. My brother Scott works for the power company and is able to share this with all of us.
This year it was held on my nephew Richard's birthday, the day before was his sister Karyn's birthday so we celebrated it with them. They provided the cake which was very good. They are big baseball fans, so their cakes were decorated appropriately. Take a look at these pictures of everyone having a good time.
