Last weekend for Memorial day and the following week Scott and I went to Mesquite to our condo. It is so nice to go there and just relax. We bought a bike for me and Brad to share and we took both Scott's and the new bike with us so we could go biking, I know what your thinking, Leita on a bike? I know I didn't think I would ever get on one either, but I have and you know it is pretty fun, (don't tell Scott I said that!) We went into St. George and went on this trail that starts in Bloomington and goes through to I don't know where but we were gone for about an hour and 45 minutes, boy did my butt hurt, and my hands kept on going numb. I just need to do it more or get some gloves and a new seat (or as they say in the biking world, Saddle). We also just sat by the pool and read and relaxed. Brad and his friend McKay came down and stayed through the weekend, we took them on a hike in Snow Canyon and then to a friend of ours the Higley's, I worked with Pat at Dr. Gifford's and we have kept in contact ever since, they just happend to move down to Mesquite, so we go see them every time we are down there. They had us over to dinner on Sunday and Monday. So I hope that this helps in knowing what I have been up to. This coming week I am painting the spare room, but we are turning it into my office since I will be working from home and need a place that is quite and away from noise and Scott's office gets to be a little crowded with both of us in it and then when Brad needs a computer he comes in also, so I need a place just for me. So the next pictures you will see will be of my new painted office. Until then!

I'm Back to this crazy thing called a BLOG
Well to let you know a little of what has been going on in my life and not blogging here it goes, lets see, after the snow storm in April, I sent Scott off to Slovakia, Switzerland and England where he stayed for 2 weeks, in that time I painted 2 bathrooms, went to my son-in-laws college graduation, 2 grandson's birthdays, sent presents to my other 2 granddaughters, helped Brad with his Eagle Project (can't wait til it is done, we are getting there!)and get ready for Prom, having dinner with my siblings and their spouses, finding out that we are going to be grandparents again in November, going to the twins graduation from preschool, watching the twins riding their bikes without trianing wheels, going to our Condo (timeshare) in Mesquite Nevada, keeping in touch with a friend who has Leukimia and is in and out of the hospital, applying for a job with JetBlue and getting it and will start training for 6 weeks on June 22 and then will be working from home doing their reservations, will be traveling to Arizona to see Jennifer and her family before I start training, that in a nut shell sums up what I have been doing. I know boring! I have been taking pictures, but haven't been able to put them onto the computer.

April Showers brings What SNOW?
YES I said SNOW. This is April and almost the end of April, I have heard of April showers bring May flowers, but really. I just wonder what May will bring. Or even June. I can't believe that it is snowing, we have had a lot of rain in the past couple of days and when I heard the weather man say that we were going to get snow I kept on saying to myself, "did I hear him right?" well I did and as you can see from the pictures we are getting slammed and it is still coming and they say that it is going to go on for the rest of the week. I guess this is what they call Spring in Utah. I need to move to a warmer climate. Any jobs out there that anyone knows of for Scott ANY ONE!!!! HELP! I am so tired of being cold. And my favorite saying is: "And this too shall pass!" It better. And I forgot my new motto is "Enjoy the journey" but no one said it would be a fun journey. or even a warm one at that. Ok I will stop whining!
These pictures I took of our front yard and one on our deck.
Easter
Easter was a fun day. After going to church and enjoying the messages we heard there, we came home and started getting ready for everyone to come over. Megan and Mike came a little early to help me finish up on decorating the sugar cookies (they are so sinful). As we were finishing up on that Heidi and the boys came and they kept asking if Mik and the girls were going to be there soon. I guess we are boring and aren't as fun as cousins. Once Scott and Lisa arrived the noise level went up a couple decimals. They always have so much fun with each other. Then it was just waiting time until Amy and Matt came. At about 5:15 Amy and Matt arrived and we sat down to eat. Of course all the kids wanted to do the Easter egg hunt first, but I stuck to my guns and said if you eat all of your dinner, we will go out and find the eggs. They couldn't wait for the prayer to be said when they all dove into their food.
After dinner we went out to find the eggs, we had to make it somewhat fair and told the kids that they could only have 7 eggs a piece, and they were ok with that, so we started the youngest first and once they got started than the next group of kids came out and so forth, until Mik and Daghen were the last ones out.

They all seem to have fun, they all know that we put in money into some of the eggs, so they were so excited to find the ones with money in them. It was a great day, sunny, but a little cool. After the egg hunt all the kids, Brad, Mike, Megan and Papa played Frisbee, even Ellie joined in the game (for those that don't know who Ellie is she is our Golden Lab dog), all in all we enjoyed the day with the kids. Enjoy the pictures of our Easter day!

A Grand Celebration!
On Saturday, we all celebrated Grandma Joan's 80th birthday, and she is still celebrating!!!
Joan is my stepmother and has been for the past 22 years. She is a great lady and you would never know that she wasn't my real mother. She has made me feel like I have belonged to her all my life. Joan has a way of loving you no matter what the case might be. She is such a special person in my life. Joan's kids (Karen, Karla and Krehl and their spouses) did such a great job of compiling things and giving her a great birthday party. It was so fun to be there to honor her. Here are a few pictures of the special day.
This is one with my siblings
This is a picture of Scott and I with our kids and their kids that could come.
Joan and her daughter Karla and son Krehl, next is her wedding dress. And this is my dad with his sister Bea who is 88
On Monday we (the Child crew) got together and went to dinner to continue celebrating Joan's Birthday, but dumb me forgot to take pictures. We got caught up in talking and eating. Plus the table we were in wasn't very convenient to take pictures, but I should have had the waitress do it for us. Oh well. We had fun!!! Happy Birthday Joan. We love you very much.

Preston's 1st Birthday!!
WOW!!!! How time goes by. Well our youngest grand child is now 1 years old. I can't believe it. He was so cute on his birthday, but you have to know Preston, he doesn't get overly excited about anything, so if you can get him to smile you are doing good. He has a very calm and reserved spirit about him that makes you just want to squeeze him.
We all went to Amy and Matt's house up in Heber to celebrate the birthday with them and Matt's family. Amy had made a cute monkey cake which was really cute.
He loved his truck that Grandma and Grandpa Field got him, but didn't really care for the clothes (what kid does), and the little truck that his uncle Rob and aunt Mindy got him, and he especially liked the treats that uncle Jake and aunt Nicole gave him, to keep the sanity for Matt and Amy while in the car. He loved the lawn mover that Mom and Dad gave him so he can go help dad with the lawn. (this one doesn't use gas Matt) But I really think that he really likes the stroller that grandma Field gave you that was Rebecca's when she was a little girl. Preston and his little cousin Abby (Rob and Mindy's daughter)fight over it and they see who can distract each other to see who can get to it before the other one does. (I am sure that Abby is so gratefull for the lawn mower and wagon) We as a family went in on a wagon for him, since he loves to be outside and in his stroller going for walks, we thought that it would be a good change from the stroller. Of course his cousins thought it would be fun to push him in the house, so Ayden and Abby helpped him enjoy his wagon.
We love you Preston and can't wait until next year!!!! Happy Birthday Big Boy!
