Christmas is over and we are in a brand new year wow does that seem weird? It seems as I get older the years just seem to come and go like no other.
I will warn you now that this is long only because I wanted to put in as many pictures as I could without having to do a slide.
We had a great time this past Christmas, with family and friends. We did lose a dear friend from complications to his bone marrow transplant, and we were saddened by his death. We loved him dearly, we knew him and his wife as we moved into our first house in West Jordan and started our families and grew in the gospel together. We wish Cindy and her family the best this next year. Kurt was indeed a very valiant servant to our Heavenly Father. I am sure he is busy helping teach the gospel to those who have never had the chance to hear it hear on earth. Cindy was and is so strong, she not only deserves a very big gold star for her forehead, but a life without having to go through this again. We love them very much.
On December 19 we waited for Jenn and her family to get to our house and from there we went to my side of the families Christmas party. It is always so fun to see the cousins and catch up on their lives. We enjoyed it a lot.
On Sunday the 20th of December we celebrated Brad's Eagle Court of Honor. YES, it is over. We put together with the help of Denise Angus (who lives in our ward) a great life sketch of Brad, it turned out really good.My oldest brother Stanley awarded him the eagle. Because of Stan's influence Brad has accomplished alot. Thank you Stan for being there for Brad and for us. We are so proud of him accomplishing this great award.
On Christmas Eve we went over to Lisa's house and enjoyed the appetizers and other things she had for us to eat, watched the kids get so anxious to go to bed. Scott and Brad helped Mik in putting a puzzle together, at least start to put it together. We watched the kids open their one Christmas gift from their mom and dad, we then went home to watch Brad open his one gift from us (pajamas).
Christmas day was enjoyable, we got up and had biscuits and scrambled eggs and bacon. Heidi and Casey came by to wish us a Merry Christmas, then they were headed up to Casey's parents. We got dressed and went to visit my dad and Joan, enjoyed their company. We then went and picked up Scott's mom and brought her to our house. All of the kids, minus Heidi and Jennifer were there with their families. We really enjoyed the day. Of course always too much to eat.
Jenn and Rich celebrated Christmas in Logan and then to Ogden to visit with Rich's family they came back to our house on the 29th.
We played in the snow, went to the movie Princess and the Frog, played in the snow again and on Saturday Jan 2 we went up to Mutual Dell to have a family party with the Farnsworth's. We had a great time with that side of the family, catching up with these cousins. The kids were able to sled and sled and sled, we couldn't get them off of them.
These are the families that we went camping with this past summer and can't wait to do that again.
On Sunday the 3rd of January Jenn and Rich packed up and left for home in Arizona. We surely enjoyed their visit, and can't wait to be with them again.
We hope everyone is enjoying the new year and have made goals they can attain.
Here are some pictures to see how the kids enjoyed themselves at all the parties.
