UEA started today, but we were not one of the family's that went to California to participate in ("U"tah "E"nters "A"nheim). We did that a couple of years ago and saw pretty much most of our neighbors and even our family doctor, so we are taking it pretty easy this year. I invited Mik, Kinzie and Halli over for a sleep over, including dinner and making Halloween cookies so here are is the start of our visit.
And Mema is the only one that got flour all over her
Papa joined in the fun of cutting out the Halloween shapes or at least he is the one that rolled out the dough, and the kids did the cutting out, usually putting the shape right in the middle of thedough. They each got a turn in cutting out the shape they picked, and then they took turns,
Halli and Kinzie's turn
Milk's turn!
They all got to have their very on dish of frosting and then shared the sprinkles, what a mess at the end of the cookie decorating, but we all had fun, especially after when they got to finally lick the spoon and eating the sprinkles that had got all over the counter. Then it was off to watch movies in Mema's room. Around 9:00 the girls came to me and said they were tired, so off to bed with them, while Mik joined Papa to watch Knight Rider.
This morning the kids were woken up by us getting up to have scripture study at 6:30 am, so the day began, and we started off with cold ceral (which they wanted), but by 10:00 am they decided or at least the girls decided to have pancakes, so out came the griddle and mema made pancakes. Mik was antsy for uncle Brad to get up so I told him to go get him up, so around 10:30 Brad got up and played games with the kids or at least teased them. Lisa came over by then and we sat and talked while the kids played games on the computer and then went home around 3:00 pm since I needed to go pick up Preston from his other Grandma, so stay tuned like I said and I am sure there will be a great story coming!

Sounds like lots of fun!
I only introduce the best things in life. And cookie dough just happens to be at the top of the list. My favorite guilty pleasure. I don't make cookies unless I'm able to not feel guilty about eating dough. At my house more dough is eaten then cookies. Glad I could be a good influence.
You are such a fun grandma!! I bet your grandkids just had a blast and love hanging out with you & Scott
